Peppermint essential oil is one of the most well-known essential oils because it has SO many uses in and around your home. Here at Sha-Faun enterprises, we keep a bottle of peppermint oil in the office, in the car, and around our homes for easy access.

Here are a 15 of our favorite ways to utilize the energizing aroma of Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil!

  1. Keep Headaches at Bay

A few drops of peppermint essential oil mixed with your favorite carrier oil in an oil roller are excellent for keeping a headache away. When you feel a headache coming on, all you need to do is smell the oil roller, and your headache can fade away.

For more persistent headaches, try rolling a bit of the peppermint oil into your temples with your oil roller. A bit on your chest as well. Those two places will surround your senses with refreshing peppermint, and hopefully, before long, your headache disappears.

  1. Restore Your Feet After a Long Day

If you work on your feet all day, they are likely tired and sore at the end of the day. Try a few drops of peppermint oil and a 1/4 cup of Epsom salts in a warm tub of water for a soothing foot soak.

  1. Use Peppermint Essential Oil To help with Nausea

Just as chewing peppermints help you keep nausea away, sniffing a few whiffs of your bottle of peppermint essential oil can help you calm down an upset tummy.

It's as easy as opening your bottle and taking a deep breath. No mixing or carrier oils are needed!

  1. Give Yourself a Burst of Energy During your Midday Slump

We all get that mid-day tired spell, especially after a large lunch. Here a Sha-Faun Enterprises, if we know that we have important meetings or tasks to get done toward the end of the day, we keep our roller of peppermint essential oil on hand. A few swipes of our peppermint roller to the wrists can give us the boost we need to get through the day.

  1. Steam Away Congestion with Peppermint

Having a cold or allergies can leave you feeling stuffed up and congested. Create a soothing peppermint steam by filling a glass or metal bowl with hot water from a tea kettle and adding a few drops of peppermint essential oil. Use a towel draped over your head and the bowl to direct the steam to your sinuses. The peppermint and steam together can help open things up and get your breathing with ease again.

  1. Relieve Stress Using Peppermint Essential Oil

All of us deal with stress for various reasons in our lives. Sometimes all you need is a few minutes to yourself in a relaxing bath to soothe those concerns and worries into more manageable thoughts. Place several drops of Young Living peppermint essential oil in your favorite carrier oil and into a warm bath and soak for as long as you feel comfortable.

  1. Massage Away Muscle Soreness

Peppermint essential oil has been shown to have anti-inflammatory benefits. Mixing a few drops of peppermint essential oil into a massage oil such as sweet almond oil can help create an invigorating and soothing massage oil to help soothe away muscle soreness.
